Mozambique: UN Summit Launches Sustainable Development Goals

Maputo — Heads of state and government from across the globe, including Mozambican President Filipe Nyusi, on Friday approved a new agenda for sustainable development covering the next 15 years, and containing such goals as the eradication of poverty, combating inequalities and minimizing the impact of climate changes.

The Sustainable Development Goals (the successors to the Millennium Development Goals) were approved at the start of a three day United Nations summit in New York.
