Under the patronage of Macky Sall, President of the Republic of Senegal, the Dakar High-Level Conference for an African Agricultural Transformation Agenda will bring together Ministers of Finance and Economy, Ministers of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ministers of Trade and Industry, Governors of Central Banks, business leaders, the private sector, academia and civil society as well as technical experts across the continent and beyond.

The Conference is expected to result in strong commitments from Governments to undertake necessary reforms to prioritize agriculture, renew private-sector engagement and engage in innovative agriculture financing mechanisms for Africa. A Roadmap will outline the key actions required to deliver a Strategy for Transformation of African Agriculture.

The Conference will be organized through High-Level Panel discussions and parallel working sessions, co-hosted by organizations and institutions with a recognized leadership in the domain. The Ministers of Finance, Agriculture, Trade and Investment, Central Bank Governors, private sector and academic leaders will be invited to discuss and endorse the Roadmap.

This High-Level event will take place from October 21-23 at the King Fahd Palace Conference Centre in Dakar.
