Following Tanzania Meteorological Agency (TMA) and other International Meteorological Agencies' forecasts on the anticipated El-Nino rains expected between October and December, this year, the public has been cautioned over possibility of outbreaks of various diseases.
Director General of National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR), Dr Mwele Malecela cautioned over likely outbreak of climate sensitive diseases, mainly vector borne diseases including Rift Valley Fever (RVF) which will be caused by El-Nino rains.
