Uganda: Collapse of the Democratic Alliance Gives Power to Voters

The Democratic Alliance has decided to disagree to agree, that Kizza Besigye and Amama Mbabazi will both run for presidency and that there will not be a joint candidate under The Democratic Alliance.

Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) is a political party of values and principles and according to its chairman, Wasswa Birigwa, FDC could not endorse Mbabazi because he is not one that represents rule of law. Ken Lukyamuzi added that Mbabazi has an amorphous group and he was not vetted by anyone in his Go Forward. However, with all this said about Mbabazi, his representatives at the TDA summit did not reveal why they would not endorse Besigye.
