When the defunct Nigeria Airways Limited was liquidated by the federal government in 2004, its demise contributed in retarding the growth of the aviation industry, writes Chinedu Eze.

The greatest events that happened in Nigeria's aviation industry revolved around her defunct national carrier, Nigeria Airways Limited (NAL). Under Nigeria Airways, the country developed its aviation training school, the Nigeria College of Aviation Technology, Zaria, developed international destinations where Nigerians loved to travel to and also linked different parts of the country by air.
