Nigeria: Meet the 'Noisemakers'? (I)

President Muhammadu Buhari, last Wednesday, submitted a list of the first batch of his ministerial nominees to the Senate, a set of people he has already dismissed as noisemakers. Below is the profile of some of the 21 nominees, whose names are already in the public domain.

The submission, last week, of the names of the first batch of ministerial nominees by President Muhammadu Buhari was greeted with mixed reactions. One, it came four months after the president had assumed office. Two, the submission failed the deadline test and three, only 21 of the names were sent for approval at the senate. Although there has been debate on the definition of the 'September deadline', it is still a no-brainer as the president promised to put a team in place by September ending. He did not say to the United States that he would forward names of nominees to the Senate by September - a cabinet would be ready by then was his promise. Therefore, they are not the same thing.
