The failure by The Democratic Alliance to reach a consensus on a joint presidential candidate has plunged the opposition into a precarious position, at least in light of the debate that has ensued.
With the hostile opinions of one commentator after another, the debate has degenerated into name-calling, the source of which, if not checked, seems to undermine the motive for which TDA was created.
