Algeria: Army Discovers Seven Caches Containing Homemade Bomb, 15 Antipersonnel Mines in Boumerdes

Algiers — Seven (7) caches containing a homemade bomb and 15 antipersonnel mines have been discovered Sunday by a detachment of the National Popular Army (ANP), under the operational area of Boumerdes, the Ministry of National Defence announced Monday.

"As part of the fight against terrorism, a detachment under the operational sector of Boumerdes (1st Military Region), discovered yesterday 4 October 2015, during a search operation near the area of Oued Akerkour, seven (7) chaches containing one (1) homemade bomb, fifteen (15) anti-personnel mines, a generator, ammunition, sleeping materials and other objects that were destroyed on the spot," said the source.
