Nigeria: NLC Gives Gombe Govt Two Weeks Deadline Over Unpaid Teachers' Salaries

Gombe — The Gombe State Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Mr. Haruna Kamara, has given an ultimatum of two weeks to the state government to pay all teachers their outstanding salaries.

Kamara, who gave the ultimatum yesterday in Gombe while speaking during the 2015 World Teachers Day celebration, said failure to comply with the directives, the Congress will take decisive action to ensure that all outstanding salaries meant for teachers are paid. He, therefore, called on members not to relent in doing their legitimate duty effectively.
