Ethiopia: Controversy Over Premier League Title Sponsorship Deal

When the country's football governing body, the Ethiopian Football Federation (EFF) President Jonedin Sado and BGI Ethiopia Marketing Manager Isaias Hadera signed a two-year premier league title sponsorship deal was signed last week Wednesday at Elleli International Hotel the atmosphere was quite pleasant.

The St. George and other breweries giant producer BGI Ethiopia has agreed to offer 14 million birr for being Ethiopian Premier League title sponsor. In its part the EFF expressed delight for attaining a sponsor for a couple of years. "We make deals in accordance to country's laws and regulation. This is a very helpful sponsorship deal for EFF as part of the plan to generate income from all possible sources," the EFF President Jonedin Sado said.
