Nigeria: Senate Celebrates HID Awolowo As Saraki, Lawan Lead Delegation to Family

Abuja — The Senate on Wednesday raised a nine-man delegation headed by Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, to visit the family of the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, to commiserate with them on the death of Mrs. Hannah Idowu Dideolu Awolowo who passed on September 19, 2015 at the age of 99.

The chamber also paid glowing tributes to the memory of the deceased following a motion moved by Senator Lanre Tejuosho (Ogun Central), recalling how her uncommon virtues earned her the appellation of jewel of inestimable value from her husband.
