Tanzania: Enact Laws to Protect Elderly - Govt Urged

Bukoba — Senior citizens in Kagera Region have urged the government to enact sustainable laws to end killings of elderly and ensure that their rights are promoted.

This follows reports that incidents of killings of elderly people were increasing. Police in Karagwe District are hunting for suspected killers following an incident where 91-years old man was killed by unknown people in witchcraft related incident.
