Many Liberians are betting their hopes and aspirations on the outcome of the 2017 presidential (and legislative?) election. Not surprisingly, there are as many opinions about strategies on exactly how the outcome of the elect will service these hopes and aspirations that observers say vary from group to group and individual to individual. For some, it is economy boost and public sector expansion that supports job training and massive employment. For others, it is simply uprooting and replacing the emerging political hegemony. But former Montserrado County legislator Josephine George-Francis believes women and children issues are paramount and that therefore they demand numerical gender equity in the National Legislature.
