Nakumatt is one of East Africa's largest retail chains spread in four of the five countries in the region. The chain has recently gone on an aggressive regional expansion campaign with the latest addition being an outlet at Metropolex Mall in Kampala, Uganda. Jonathan Adengo spoke to Thiagarajan Ramamurthy, the Nakumatt East Africa operations and strategy director, about expansion, future plans and the general outlook of the supermarket business.
