THE US$15 million that diversified financial services group, Old Mutual, put into the Budiriro Housing Project through its subsidiary, the Central African Building Society (CABS), is not a donation to charity, but an investment from which it expects to get a return, a company executive has said.
In response to allegations that the Budiriro houses had not benefited home seekers, Old Mutual Properties manager, Gilbert Gumpo, told delegates at a building contractor's conference in Kadoma a fortnight ago that the housing project was part of the group's investment from which it expected a return.
