Kenya: House Takes Steps to Arrest Interest Rates

Parliament is in the process of legislating new regulations aimed at capping interest rates charged by commercial banks.

The Finance and Planning committee has approved a bill seeking to put a ceiling on what banks can charge as interest on loans in an attempt to bring down Kenya's high interest rate regime.
