Ghana: Economy Is Performing Poorly - TUC

Kumasi — Dr. Anthony Yaw Baah, the Deputy Secretary General of the Trades Union Congress (TUC), has described the rate of joblessness in the country as 'abnormal' and that Ghana is performing so poorly despite her many natural resources and small population size.

"Any economy that is doing well creates jobs. And in countries where the economy is doing well, you cannot have 10 per cent of the people who are looking for job not having jobs. There are many people who are still earning below the minimum wage, so even those who have jobs do not have decent jobs", he stated.
