As Forum for Democratic Change candidate Kizza Besigye winds up the third week of his presidential campaign, the huge crowds that he pulls to most of his rallies have masked some chinks in his armour; the conspicuous absence of some leading FDC Members of Parliament who hail from the areas he has so far visited.
In the past, such MPs would be right by their founding president's side, mobilising support for him and even using their own personal resources to ensure their candidate got a befitting welcome. This time round, however, they have largely left Besigye to his own devices.
