Uganda: Museveni Planned Land Grabbing, Says Besigye

Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) presidential candidate Kizza Besigye yesterday began his campaign in Buganda with a sensational claim that the massive land grabbing in the region is part of "a deliberate plan" by President Museveni to impoverish ordinary Ugandans.

Dr Besigye argued that by doing so, Museveni was laying the ground for "governing poor people" since it is "easy to rule over a poor person" who can even clap when given as little as Shs 1,000 by a politician.
