Maputo — Although a matter of concern, the recent depreciation of the Mozambican currency, the metical, “should not plunge us into pessimism leading to panic and despair”, urged Prime Minister Carlos Agostinho do Rosario on Wednesday.
He was speaking in the Mozambican parliament, the Assembly of the Republic, in answer to a question from the main opposition party, the former rebel movement Renamo, about the devaluation of the currency.
