Ugandans Bid Pope Emotional Farewell

Kampala — As early as 6am yesterday, many people had started lining along the sidewalks of Entebbe Road. They were there to say goodbye to Pope Francis as he left Uganda, and even the drizzle that started as they waited did not deter the early birds determined to say farewell. Finally, the convoy appeared, drove through, and arrived at the airport at about 9am.

The Holy Father, who was in company of his host, President Museveni and wife Janet, was finally leaving the country.
