Nigeria: Fulani Leaders Set Up Surveillance Committee On Herdsmen, Farmers' Crisis

Ibadan — Worried by the incessant crisis between Fulani herdsmen and farmers over destruction farm holdings by grazing cattle, the leadership of the Fulani Community in the Southwest has set up a surveillance committee to liaise with the affected farmers and herdsmen with a view to dousing the tension.

The committee will, as part of its mandate, assess the damages to affected farm holdings by the itinerant Fulani herdsmen and work out the level of commensurate compensation for the victims.
