Namibia: Hearing the Cries of Male and Female Sex Workers

Two groups in Namibia say they still feel very much discriminated against when it comes to people's responses to HIV-AIDS. These are the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community and the the Rights not Rescue Trust of Namibia (RnRT), which represents sex workers.

At around 22h00, once all the businesses are closed and only the scarce nightlife remains in the heart of Windhoek's central business district, sex workers are readying themselves for a long night. A group of young men powder their faces with make up and in regular intervals adjust their short skirts.
