Mozambique: The Government of Mozambique Expects a Seven Percent Growth in 2016

Maputo — Speaking at Parliament on Dec. 9, Prime Minister Carlos Agostinho do Rosario said that despite adverse factors, the Mozambican economy will continue to grow sustainably next year and that the country could register economic growth of 7 percent in 2016.

He explained that the growth will be driven by the positive performance expected in the sectors of agriculture, electricity and gas, construction, trade, mining, transport, fisheries and financial services. The prime minister also said that the executive expects around 6.5 percent growth in the agricultural sector and 10 percent growth in the mining sector.
