Are African countries justified to state that the International Criminal Court is acting beyond its mandate to behave as a prefect?
Central Africa Republic opened elections last week with a stern warning from ICC Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda that was would keenly watch how the polls were held and take action against anyone involved in incitement to mass violence. She said the process of gathering evidence against any person who incites or engages in acts of mass violence before, during and after the elections is continuing.
