There seems to be a consensus - in the media, anyway - that the year 2015 was a particularly difficult one for the Jubilee government.
It cannot be pleasant for those who occupy high office in this government to read (or hear) these constant references to the government "taking Kenya back to the dark days of the Moi regime". For this phrase is generally intended to mean that there is plenty of corruption and incompetence to be found within this government, along with attempts to reverse the democratic gains of the new constitution when it comes to freedom of speech and so on.
