Egypt: AP Congratulates Sisi On House of Representatives' First Session

Arab Parliament (AP) Speaker Ahmed Al Jarwan congratulated President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on the occasion of holding the House of Representatives' first session on Sunday 10/1/2016.

Jarwan expressed confidence that the Egyptian parliament would restore its leading role once again. Ho noted that four Egyptian MPs will join the Arab Parliament as representatives of the Egyptian House.

In a statement on the sidelines of the Arab Parliament meetings, Jarwan said Egypt is the backbone of the Arab nation, adding that "we support Egypt for its weight in the Arab world and Arab diplomacy."

He pointed out to the effective participation of the Arab Parliament in following up the Egyptian parliamentary elections.
