Gambia: Govt Injects D33 Million Into Biometric Voters' Registration

The Chairman of the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) has disclosed that the Government of The Gambia is funding the ongoing biometric voter registration exercise costing D33 million in the country.

Alhaji Mustapha Carayol whose institution was deferred until 28th April 2016 by the Public Accounts Committee and Public Enterprise Committee (PAC/PEC) of The National Assembly of The Gambia due to failure of meeting PAC/PEC's requirements made this remark yesterday.
