Nigeria: No Tax Increase to Fund 2016 Budget - Govt

The federal government has said it does not plan to increase taxes on the citizens in order to fund the 2016 budget in view of the dwindling price of crude oil in the international market.

This was the decision reached at the meeting of the National Economic Council (NEC) presided over by the vice president, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, yesterday in the presidential villa .
