Nigeria: Three Armed Robbers Meet Waterloo

Three armed robbers met their waterloo yesterday, when youths from Orunu Junction in Ofu Local Council area of the state burnt the trio to death. An eyewitness account said nemesis caught up with the robbers when they took over the road and started robbing commuters.

Robbery on the particular road, which has become almost a daily affair has been a source of concern. The villagers in their hundreds, who were fed up with incessant attacks and robbery on the road that leads to Idah Local Council from Lokoja, laid ambush from where they descended on the robbers.

The hoodlums, who are suspected to be foreigners from the neirgbouring ‎African countries, were disarmed by the mob before killing three of them with stones, clubs and any available weapon. Two of the armed gang, however, managed to escape into the bush, while ‎three were burnt to ashes after severe beating.
