Algeria: Audiovisual Regulatory Authority's New President to Be Announced 'Soon,' Says Grine

Algiers — The new president of the Audiovisual Regulatory Authority (ARAV), replacing Miloud Chorfi, will be known "soon" and his appointment is the prerogative of President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika, said Monday in Algiers Communication Minister, Hamid Grine.

"The appointment of the new president of ARAV falls within the prerogative of the president. His name will be known soon and timely," said Grine, on the sidelines of the Exhibition of caricatures at Culture Palace, paying tribute to Chorfi for his work at the head of this body.
