South Africa: Two Arrested for Killing of North West Cop

Two suspects have been arrested for the killing of Warrant Officer Sipho Sithole near Brits in North West, in November last year, the Hawks said on Wednesday.

Samuel Marothi Maphanga, 24, and Luca Ndoda Mathibefazi, 39, were arrested and appeared before the Brits Magistrate's Court on Monday, facing charges of murdering the police officer, Hawks spokesperson Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi said in a statement.
