Liberia: Gbowee Foundation to Build U.S.$380 K Girls' Tech High School

Monrovia — Liberia's Nobel Laureate Leymah Gbowee has disclosed that the institution will shortly embark on the construction of a technical high school for girls' value at US$380,000. Madam Gbowee made the disclosure last Friday at program marking the 3rd anniversary and fundraising gala of GPFA at the Bella Casa Hotel in Sinkor. She said when constructed the school will be intended for vulnerable girls, who has the passion to learn. She put cost of the project at US$380,000.

"The reason to embark on the project is to ensure that every Liberians girl remain in school and avoid teenage pregnancy," Madam pointed out. "There are lots of girls who are vulnerable to society and as a Nobel Laureate I decided to embark on this project," GPFA President noted.
