Namibia: Olympic Blues As Cricketers Astound the World

CYCLING takes centre stage this weekend when the National Championships take place in Windhoek. With a place at the Olympics at stake, all of Namibia's top cyclists have confirmed their participation, including Dan Craven who has flown in from Europe to compete, and with Costa Seibeb and Till Drobisch both in good form, a cracking race can be expected.

Cycling, however, is one of only three codes that has qualified for the Olympics so far, besides marathon runner Beata Naigambo and shooter Gaby Ahrens, and with the hope of late qualification in wrestling and boxing looking slim, Namibia's Olympic prospects look particularly bleak.
