Angola: Difficulties to Acquire Foreign Currency Affect Lactiangol's Production

Luanda — The production of milk in the state-owned dairy company Lactiangol reduced from five million litres to 3.5 million litres last year due to difficulties in the access to foreign currency for the acquisition of raw material, said last Wednesday to ANGOP, in Luanda, the firm's chief executive, José César Bastos Macedo.

According to the manager, in the same period and equally for the same reasons, the levels of yoghurt production also went down significantly to about 50 per cent, a situation that leaves the company in a difficult situation, said the CEO.
