Sudan: President Al-Bashir - Priority in Electricity Supply to Agricultural Schemes

Kosti — President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir affirmed importance of giving priority in electricity supply to the agricultural projects.

Addressing leaders of political forces in the White Nile State in Rabak, Friday, in the presence of Wali(governor) of the State, Dr Abdul-Hameed Musa Kasha and several federal ministers , the President stressed importance of expanding Jebel Aulia Dam and to make use of indulged lands by cultivating rice, referring to successful experiments in this connection.

He announced commitment of the State to provide people with basic services as implementation to presidential election program, calling for giving more concern to the combating poverty-related projects , and conduct surveys and statistical studies about poor and classifying them in order to turn them into producers via micro finance projects.

The President of the Republic thanked people of the White Nile State for hosting the South Sudanese people , stressing that the White Nile State has great interest in opening borders with the South Sudan State.
