Sudan: Mahmoud Calls On German Government to Press SPLM-North Into Serious Negotiations

Khartoum — The Assistant of the President of the Republic , has called on the German government to pressurize the rebel Sudan Liberation Movement-North sector, to make them engage in serious negotiations that end the suffering of the peoples in the two areas and achieve permanent peace there.

Ibrahim Mahmoud, the Assistant of the President and deputy chairman of the National Congress Party for Partisan Affairs, who received the visiting Berghof Foundation representative, in the presence of the German ambassador to the Sudan, called on the German side to continue with its efforts for achieving peace and stability in the Sudan and to press the rebels into engaging in a constructive dialogue.
