Tanzania: Anti-GBV Desks Envisaged for All Public Institutions

Singida — The government has said it is contemplating to establish gender desks in all public institutions in its quest to fight Gender-Based Violence (GBV).

Deputy Minister for Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children, Dr Hamis Kigwangala, said here at the weekend that gender desks in the police force have helped many victims of GBV and that the government intends to extend the desks to all government institutions.
