Gambia: State's Absence in Court Hinders Waa Juwara, Co Trial

The criminal trial involving the state against the former Minister of Regional Administrations, Lands and Traditional Rulerss Lamin Waa Juwara; Hamidou Jallow, former Principal Land Evaluation Officer at the Department of Lands and Survey; and Tamsir Onasis Conteh, on Monday failed to proceed due to the absence of state prosecutor.

The case, which is being handled by Magistrate Momodou S.M Jallow of the Banjul Magistrates' Court, was set for adoption of briefs but when it was called on Monday, it couldn't proceed on the grounds that the state prosecutors were absent in court.
