Nigeria: 58 Killed, 78 Injured in Borno IDP Camp Suicide Blast

Maiduguri — Two female suicide bombers Tuesday detonated bombs at the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp in Dikwa, Borno State, leaving 58 people dead and over 78 others injured.

Emergency response agency officials confirmed the death toll yesterday. National Emergency Management Agency Zonal Coordinator in North East, Mr. Mohammed Kanar, confirmed that some of the dead had been buried while the injured had been moved to medical facilities for adequate treatment. The incidents occurred when the IDPs queued up to collect their morning food at the camp which accommodates over 50, 000 people displaced by Boko Haram terrorism.
