Liberia: MPC Threatens Gov"t With Legal Pursuit

The Movement for Progressive Change or MPC has threatened legal action against the government of Liberia for what it termed as violating the fundamental rights of its political leader, Simeon Freeman.

The MPC said the action by the government through the Liberian National Police or LNP to have subjected Mr. Freeman and his family to such humiliation by holding them hostage for over 4-days without access to food, water and other necessities is unlawful, counterproductive and condemnable of good governance.
