Kenya: Senior Officials Accused in Tokyo Case Claim Cover-Up

Three former senior government officials have accused the Director of Public Prosecutions and the anti-graft commission of framing them over the Tokyo embassy land scandal.

Former Foreign Affairs PS Thuita Mwangi, former ambassador to Libya Anthony Muchiri and former Chargé d'Affaires in Tokyo Allan Mburu said conspiracy to defraud the government charges against them were trumped up and used by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission to cover up the real corruption cartels.
