Egypt: Minister - Plan to Support Egyptian Products in Foreign Markets

Minister of Trade and Industry Tarek Qabil said on Thursday 25/02/2016 that the government has developed a comprehensive plan to enhance industry and support exports.

In a statement, the Minister said the new strategy would be given a higher priority to support Egyptian made products in foreign markets.

The ministry, in cooperation with the Egyptian Commercial Services, carried out promotional activities worldwide to support exports, the statement said.

The promotional campaigns covered as many as 35 trade missions, providing 47 opportunities to export products in addition to 126 marketing studies, it said.

The efforts fruited agreements to export 180,000 tons of food products to Iraq and EGP 5 million worth furniture to Jordanian markets, the statement added.
