Botswana: No Loss of Income Due to Conversion

Gaborone — The Assistant Minister for Presidential Affairs and Public Administration, Mr Dikgang Makgalemele says he is not aware of any loss of income suffered by former industrial class employees when they converted to permanent and pensionable terms of employment.

Answering a question in Parliament on Wednesday, Mr Makgalemele said the basic salary for former Industrial Class Employees was not affected by the conversion, and their monthly salary was fixed at 22 days per month.
