Angola: Miss Angola CPLP Holds Campaign Against HIV/Aids

Malanje — An HIV/AIDS prevention campaign took place Thursday in Malanje city, organised by Miss Angola/Portuguese Speaking Community (CPLP), Marlene Sipitali, as part of her social action programme.

The event included activities such as HIV/AIDS tests, distribution of condoms, awareness messages on the dangers of the disease, and distribution of insecticide-treated bednets and supply of disposable items to the women and child Hospital of Malanje, northern Angola.

The programme counted on the cooperation of the Angolan Network of AIDS Service Organisations (ANASO) and students from the Teacher Training School linked to the Norwegian People's Aid (ADPP).

Marlene Sipitali (19) will represent Angola in the Miss CPLP contest this year in Portugal.
