Tanzania: Nurses, Midwifery Body Launches E-Licensing System

TANZANIA Nursing and Midwifery Council (TNMC) launched a new electronic licensing and registration system for nurses and midwives aimed at improving its capacity to monitor and enforce professional standards through heightened regulation of nursing and midwifery education and practice across the country.

A statement issued in Dar es Salaam said the TNMC's innovative new system will as well improve deployment of nurses to underserved parts of the country, help strengthen professional standards and quality of care.
