Johannesburg — Africa investor (Ai), a leading international investment and communications group, today announced the highly-anticipated release of the shortlisted candidates for the Ai Infrastructure Project Developer Awards 2016.

Now in their second year, these first-of-their-kind Awards are designed to reward and showcase excellence amongst Africa’s project developers to a growing pan-African and global infrastructure investment and development finance community. The Ai Infrastructure Project Developer Awards highlight and recognise the achievements of the top ten infrastructure project developers, financiers, advisors and development partners per category operating in Africa.

The Ai Infrastructure Project Developer Awards will take place as part of the exclusive second annual Ai CEO Infrastructure Project Developers Summit, this year themed

Catalysing Africas Project Development Finance and Investment Ecosystems, which will convene industry leaders to showcase a range of investable early stage and co-development project opportunities and to strategise solutions to a variety of industry-related issues.

The Ai CEO Infrastructure Project Developers Summit will also provide a venue for the launch of a dedicated pan-African network of infrastructure project developers to share best practice, discuss opportunities and engage infrastructure policy makers to improve the regulatory environment and investment climate for project development in Africa.

Commenting on the release of the Awards shortlist, Hubert Danso, CEO and Vice Chairman of Africa investor, said; “Interest around last year’s Ai Infrastructure Project Developer Awards established that there is a vibrant project development industry in Africa whose significant catalytic investment impact and development potential goes largely unrecognised. Africa investor is delighted to be able to lead an initiative that recognises the financial risks and innovations employed by the shortlisted candidates and the continent’s growing project developer industry more widely.

See below for the full 2016 Awards shortlist.

The Ai Infrastructure Project Developer Awards 2016 will be held during the Ai CEO Infrastructure Project Developers Summit, taking place at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Johannesburg, South Africa, on the 9 th of May 2016. For more information, or to register, contact
