Sudan: Deputy Chief Justice Inaugurates Department of Supreme Court for Darfur States

Nyala — Deputy Chief Justice, Abdul-Majid Idris, Thursday inaugurated in Nyala the Department of the National Supreme Court for Darfur States. Present at the inauguration were the Wali (governor) of South Darfur State, Engineer Adam Al-Fekki Mohamed Al-Tayeb, the Supreme Court Judge and Chairman of the Courts Administration, Abdul-Aziz Mustafa, and other senior officials.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony, the Deputy Chief Justice said that establishment of the Department of the Supreme Court for Darfur State comes in the context of the judiciary's plan to expand justice and to guarantee the rule of law.
