Recent utterances by some chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) suggest that rather than reducing, there are increasing deep rooted resentments in the ruling party, which is barely one year in power.
In the buildup to the formation of the party, all the major actors, drawn from all parts of Nigeria, with distinct beliefs and ideology, set aside their differences and pushed for the formation of the APC, a feat never witnessed since Nigeria got independence in 1960. However, it was as if its founders were just waiting for power to come to their fold.
