Nigeria: Ndiema Replaced by Habtegebrel for Okpekpe Road Race

Top Kenya long distance and road runner Esther Chemtai Ndiema has pulled out of next month's Okpekpe International 10-km Road Race in Okpekpe, near Auchi in Edo State and is replaced by Shitane Habtegebrel in the list of elite athletes for the annual event.

In a statement yesterday, Dare Esan, spokesman for the IAAF bronze label race said the Bahrainian, Habtegebrel pulled out because of injury.
